Be it his media addresses, post-match interactions, or the camaraderie he shares with fellow teammates, team India and Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma is quite a character when it comes to showcasing his sense of humour.

As Indians struggle to seal the final playoff spot in the ongoing 16th season of the Indian Premier League, a particular video is going viral across social media sites where he yet again manages to hog the limelight with his wit and humour.

The clip is from a latest promotional event organized by the DHL Express, which has been MI’s principal sponsor and official logistics partner for the past three IPL seasons.

In the video, Rohit is seen surrounded by a few school girls, one of whom asks the former to repeat a very popular Hindi tongue twister.

After requesting this particular girl to repeat the tongue twister not once, but a couple of times, a struggling MI skipper decided to send the crowd of students at the venue in a frenzy.

Instead of repeating the words correctly, Rohit incorrectly said, “Khadak Singh ke khadakne se khadakti hai khidkiyan, aur khatiya jaati hai baaju mein”. While the words uttered by the 36-year-old did not make much sense, there was no point caring as he successfully managed to echo the venue with students howling in laughter.

Sharing the stage with fellow Mumbai teammate Arjun Tendulkar as well, Rohit, who is not very well fluent and comfortable in putting Hindi words together at a regular pace, struggled to utter the tongue twister for the third consecutive time.

Finally, with the help of the event host, Rohit meant business. Slowly, but surely, he broke down the sentence into two halves and correctly repeated the same to a round of applause from the enthusiastic school boys and girls.
